Flyers U20 im Prospect Liga Final
Therwil Flyers U20 team has completed the regular season on a positive note with two wins in Hunenberg, ZG on June 13 to finish on top of the Swiss Baseball Softball Federation (SBSF) Prospect League. This is the initial season of the SBSF Prospect League: the primary objective goal of the League is to provide Swiss baseball players to extend club-level federation-sanctioned baseball to the U20 age group. With great pitching from Zack Simner and Drew Creeden and decisive hits from Jonas Bielefeld in the first game, the Flyers toppled the combined team of the Zurich Challengers, Luzern Eagles and Hunenberg Unicorns to defend an early lead of 3-0 to a final score of 5-3. Easton Fluehmann pitched a complete game for the second win of the day, cumulating 8 strike-outs in a blowout win 10-1 over the Geneva Dragons. The Therwil Flyers U20 team finishes the regular season with no losses and is in a good position for the Prospect League Finals to be played on Heerenschurli Field in Zurich on June 27.

Die U20-Mannschaft der Therwil Flyers hat die reguläre Saison am 13. Juni in Hünenberg (ZG) mit zwei Siegen erfolgreich abgeschlossen und damit die Spitze der Prospect League des Schweizer Baseball- und Softballverbands (SBSF) erobert. Dies ist die erste Saison der SBSF Prospect League: Das vorrangige Ziel der Liga ist es, Schweizer Baseballspielern die Möglichkeit zu bieten, den vom Verband anerkannten Vereinsbaseball auf die Altersklasse U20 auszuweiten. Dank hervorragender Pitching-Leistungen von Zack Simner und Drew Creeden sowie entscheidender Treffer von Jonas Bielefeld im ersten Spiel besiegten die Flyers das kombinierte Team der Zurich Challengers, Luzern Eagles und Hünenberg Unicorns und verteidigten eine frühe 3:0-Führung bis zum Endstand von 5:3. Easton Flühmann warf ein Complete Game für den zweiten Sieg des Tages und verbuchte 8 Strikeouts bei einem 10:1-Kantersieg über die Geneva Dragons. Das U20-Team der Therwil Flyers beendet die reguläre Saison ohne Niederlage und befindet sich in einer guten Ausgangsposition für das Prospect-League-Finale, das am 27. Juni auf dem Heerenschurli-Feld in Zürich ausgetragen wird.
